Police say four people have been shot, two fatally, near downtown Houston.
Local media report the shooting happened around 10 p.m. Monday in a residential area outside of downtown after police say an argument broke out between two groups of people.
Among the injured was a 10-year-old child. TV station KTRK reports he was shot in the abdomen and was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
A Houston police spokesman didn't immediately return messages from The Associated Press seeking comment.
