Kelechi Iheanacho will feature for Manchester City next season and will not be going out on loan, according to his father, James Iheanacho.
Nigeria youngster had an impressive debut season last term, scoring 14 times as former manager Manuel Pellegrini showed faith in him.
But Pep Guardiola arriving at the helm ahead of the new season, there have been suggestions the 19-year-old forward could be sent out on loan especially as reports continue to link the club with several heavyweight strikers.
However,Kelechi Iheanacho has a different opinion, as he said there are no plans at the moment for his son to go out on loan.
“He (Kelechi) will stay at Manchester City under the new coach because there are no plans to send him out on loan,” James Iheanacho said.
“He is not going on loan and if there were plans like that, we would have discussed it, so he is not going anywhere.”
Iheanacho started last season as City’s third striker, but later usurped Wilfried Bony to become the second striker behind Sergio Aguero, but it now remains to be seen if Guardiola will maintain status quo.
