The Nigeria U20 coach Emmanuel Amuneke has said his team are on course to qualify for next round of the 2017 U20 AFCON qualifiers at the expense of Burundi
Flying Eagles’ hold a 1-0 advantage from the first leg and host the ‘Yellow Swallows’ of Burundi today in Calabar, and Amuneke believes they will pull through.
“We have trained well this past weeks and I think we are on course to qualify for the next round of the competition,” he said.
Former Nigeria international also noted that they still have work to do to actualize their dreams.
“We cannot think we have qualified because the Burundians will also be here to play to win so we must show them some respect,” he added.
The game begins at 4pm Nigerian time at the UJ Esuene Stadium and the overall winners will play Sudan in the next round next month.
